Mark
Twain (Sagittarius: b. Nov.
30, 1835) embodied all the above:
His
wring he gave expression to the relations between blacks & whites
in the pre-Civil-War South.
In
his youth he held jobs that included a riverboat pilot, a reporter, a
journalist.
Later
in life he earned international renown as a writer, lecturer and
traveler.
He
exposed bigotry and narrow-mindedness,
and
through his extensive travel abroad brought the foreign
experience
into
the American awareness.
JFK
Jr. (Sagittarius:
b. Nov. 25. 1960) expressed it in
"George":
The
connection between Sagittarius & the Law first showed up in his
failed attempt at the legal profession, which was well-documented as
the effort of his mother to steer his career.
It
came back in a very promising way through the magazine George that he
founded.
In
his teenage years he also volunteered in South America.
He
also loved Sports in the Outdoors.
His
life was cut short by a tragic accident, and so we will never know how
far his Sagittarius soul would have taken him...
The
USA Chart (Sagittarius
Rising: b. July 4, 1776)
expresses it in Race Relationship:
The
Great Paradox of the American Experience is the fact that the greatest
country in the world, born of the notion of freedom of religion,
freedom of expression & and free-speech,
is
still trying to rid itself of the legacy of slavery,
which
began right there from the start of the settlement.
It
shows us, on a grand scale, the Dark Side of Sagittarius, still
lurking in the Human Psyche.
Pluto
In Sagittarius (1995 - 2008)
has exposed Race, Religion & Foreign Affairs Issues:
The
transit of Pluto in Sagittarius has highlighted All the Above issues
in the most acute way.
The
events of September 11, 2001 were the bursting of a pressure pot
that
was waiting to happen underneath the surface.
These
issues will be with us until 2008, when Pluto will leave Sagittarius
and enter Capricorn.
In
the 1960's, when Pluto affected the chart of the US from the sign of
Virgo,
we
had the Super Powers Nuclear Scare and the assassination of JFK, the
Civil Rights Movement and the racial tension that culminated in the
assassination of Martin Luther King.
